I am scrapbooking again. I got a pretty scrapbook as a wedding gift 6 years ago!!! OH MY how the time has flown! So, I have been working on this scrapbook for about 4 years now. It has been an on again off again project. After reaching the 6 year anniversary I knew something had to be done! I WILL finish this project!
I started this scrapbook not really knowing what I was doing. I LOVE photography, so I figured this would be something fun to do. My actual goal was to finish this before I had babies so I could do one for each of them. When I knew I wasn’t going to get this done in time, I gave up on the idea. When I found out I was having twins…I definitely gave up on the idea. They will just get the photo album with the slots to write stuff:) So, as I was saying, I had no clue what I was doing, but I did know that I wanted the book to look cool but I wanted to do it as cheap as possible. I was very pleased with my first few pages. I thought ‘wow, this is much easier than I thought!’ Then I started running out of ideas and now 4 years later I am still trying to come up with ideas:) I did however go in on a scrapbook magazine subscription with my sister Rebekah and my sis in law Alisha. We all decided we were going to scrapbook together. It was going to be awesome and exciting! I somehow ended up with all the magazines and no friends to scrapbook with! Well, these magazines give you tons of ideas, but I get so overwhelmed looking at them that in the end it doesn’t actually help!
I did decide AFTER I had finished about half my book, that I wish I had made the whole book match, or have a theme. Its too late now of course. I was thinking as I went to bed last night that I could probably redo all those pages. I will not redo all those pages. I will just finish what I started and be happy with the finished product.
Scrapbooking has been fun. It helps me feel somewhat creative:) My book is nothing special, but I really have put little money into it. But I am proud of it! I will continue working on this book while my sweet little babies are sleeping. It might take me 4 more years, but I will complete it:)
