Christmas 2011…Part 1

We have had a wonderful Christmas this year.  Spending time away from home with family was a nice break.  It was SO nice to see family!  It was especially nice to “cuddle” baby Isaac.  Cuddling him isn’t easy. It consists of me trying to hold on to him while he turns really fast watching people around him.  He can’t miss a thing!  He is such a sweet baby though.  We spent most of our time talking like goofy crazies just to make him smile, which is really easy to do!  The boys enjoyed gift opening this year which made things so much more fun.  We all got some very lovely gifts!  Now to just find a place at home for everything!

Since I wasn’t in any of the gift opening photos we decided to get one of the 2 of us.

Sorry Alisha that there were no photos of you. That’s what happens when you sit next to the person with the camera.

Getting Ready For Baby 3

I am starting to get pretty excited about this new baby.  She has some clothes now so maybe that makes it more real.  Her Aunt Rebekah has given her several things, a client of mine gave us several things and I bought  a few things today.  She now has some super cute stuff!!  After the first of the year I plan to start working on her room and a few projects that I have in mind for her.   I can’t wait!!

I have been looking for baby bedding.  It’s a hard decision!  With the boys I had not planned to use anything but colors, no prints, no animals.  Just colors.  We ended up with turtles.  I loved them when I found them.  They are super cutesy but the boys I really don’t care.  I think 2 days ago was the first time either of them acknowledged that they were turtles.  Okay, so that information wasn’t even important.   But I want cute stuff for this baby too.  No animals this time.  I found one I really like but it’s blue.  I was hoping to go with pink.   This is so hard!  Also trying to decide whether to buy something or make it.  I guess it depends on what I can find.  I will try to keep you updated on it all!

Tis The Season To Be Jolly…

It’s December 15th and I am not finished with my Christmas shopping yet.  I know this isn’t the first year this has happened, we always have a last minute gift to get or last minute stocking stuffers, but this year I am WAY behind.  It’s driving me crazy!  I am SO incredibly busy and just can’t seem to find time to squeeze shopping in.  I could do it during the day, but with doctors orders that I shouldn’t be doing much or doing any heavy lifting,  that’s out of the question.  I would have to take the boys and that would be more trouble than it’s worth.  They are usually pretty good when we go out but the lifting is a lot!

I am trying not to stress about this too much. It’s only one year.  Next year will be different and I will be back to my organized self.  I usually have most of my gifts bought and wrapped by December 1st.  Till then, I will just remember that I am doing this to protect this precious little baby.

I am just going to try to enjoy this holiday season.  It will be wonderful spending time with Ian, Ty, & Micah.

Sickness, Sickness, & More Sickness…

Wow has it been crazy here!  We have had so much sickness lately.  I feel like I have spent most of my time holding sick babies.  Not complaining about that at all, I love to hold them, but I haven’t had time to get anything else done.  Ty was sick about 2 weeks ago over Thanksgiving.  He had a high fever (104.7) and a cough.  He then took 10 days of antibiotics which ended on Friday and had a fever again by Sunday.  Micah got a fever on Sunday as well.  They both seem pretty congested so at least they have symptoms this time.  We are trying to get ready for Christmas but that doesn’t seem to be going over very well.  I am sure it will all come together eventually! I am looking forward to the weekend when Ian is home with me for moral support!

I hope to get back into blog mode as soon as this ends!  Don’t give up on me!

19 Weeks

It’s a GIRL!  We found out this week that we are having a sweet little girl.  We are BOTH very excited!  Now that morning sickness finally ended maybe I can start enjoying this pregnancy some.  I had a hard pregnancy last time because I was having twins so I am hoping this time will be easier!  She is measuring 6 days bigger than my due date that they have set, but right on schedule for what I had figured up for my due date.  They are wrong but since it isn’t off by 2 weeks they won’t or can’t change it.  Hopefully they won’t plan for me to have her at 40 weeks because that means it will really be 41 weeks. YIKES!  She is about 10 oz. and around 6 inches head to rump.   We dread picking out names because it’s going to be hard to agree on anything, a lot harder than having twin boys the first time!

Here is a picture of my growing belly that’s getting bigger by the minute!

Santa’s Workshop 2011

Well, we survived Santa’s Workshop this year.  We didn’t kill ourselves like last year either.  It was hard in a different way because I was pregnant but I definitely got more sleep.  It was long and exhausting but it’s something we enjoy doing together.  I should clarify, that’s me and Rebekah, not me and Ian.

We had a horrible spot last year but was very excited to see that we had a fantastic spot this year.  It definitely paid off, we did much better this year!

Hoe Down 2011

Our church has a hoe down every year.  We always love to go, even before we had kids.  We love that there is a chili contest and a dessert contest. I don’t always participate, but I love trying different kinds of chili.  This year my brother in law Sean joined us and of course Ty & Micah loved that.  They love their uncle Sean! This year they were too active to hang out with mom, especially when daddy and uncle Sean would play them.  It gave me a chance to catch up with friends though.

They also have a costume contest.  Ty dressed as buzz, Micah as woody.

Carving Pumpkins

I think I said a few posts ago how behind I was on blogs because my laptop has been broken.  This has to prove it! This is before Halloween.  We get together every year with our dear friends Beau and Shelly to carve pumpkins.  It’s tradition!  This year I did a more kid friendly theme since I have 2 boys that LOVE Elmo.
